The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced QA UHT Production Lead to lead food safety, quality assurance and compliance across our UHT production function at our Shepparton site.
Reporting to the Quality Systems Lead, this hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring products, processes and systems consistently meet regulatory, customer and internal standards, while strengthening food safety culture across site.
Lead and mentor the UHT Quality team, driving root cause analysis and corrective actionsInvestigate product and process deviations, determining product disposition and protecting brand integrityEnsure compliance with HACCP plans, CCPs, prerequisite programs and GMP standardsParticipate in validation, verification and line trial activitiesDrive customer complaint investigations and continuous improvement initiativesSupport audit programs, document control and non-conformance managementCollaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality Systems and site leadershipProvide backup support to the Quality Systems Lead as required
What You'll Bring
Diploma (minimum) in Food Science, Engineering or related disciplineStrong experience in FMCG manufacturing, ideally UHT or dairyDemonstrated ability to lead, coach and build accountable teamsHigh-level knowledge of food safety, HACCP and quality systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilityAbility to influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvementExcellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously
