Key responsibilities will include leading safety initiatives, supporting the site leadership team, managing on-site injuries, and promoting safety through audits and discussions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, particularly in building relationships with external stakeholders such as Workplace Health and Safety Inspectors and Emergency Response Personnel. Proficiency in creating clear, structured documents and the ability to integrate well within a team are crucial.
Industry certification in Occupational Health and Safety, credentials in Training & Assessing, and prior experience in a related role within manufacturing or construction are highly desirable.
Job Requirements
* Lead Safety Meetings: Coordinate our Safety Committee team meetings, ensuring everyone is aligned and informed.
* Own the Safety Plan: Manage, review, and monitor our Safety Plan, ensuring clear communication and execution across the site.
* Audit for Excellence: Conduct weekly and monthly safety audits, providing key insights and outputs to management for continuous improvement.
* Support Rehabilitation: Serve as the Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator, managing injured workers and guiding their recovery process at the Sarina Distillery.
* Work Cover Management: Oversee all Work Cover matters on-site, ensuring smooth coordination and compliance.
* Drive Incident Investigations: Lead thorough incident investigations and ensure follow-up actions are completed to prevent future occurrences.
