We are seeking to fill a critically key chef role to join a convivial work environment and help continue developing the skills of an already qualified and skilled chef.

This is a busy, full-time position in a substantial venue with an enviable reputation for quality meals. You will be required across the week.

Responsibilities
- Lead, train, guide and inspire our kitchen team to deliver the best results
- Supervise, and participate in, the preparation of all food items
- Manage kitchen consumables, stock takes, ordering, cost control and budgeting
- In consultation with all the Management team, develop, test, and introduce new menu items
- Compliance with OH&S; and Food Safety standards
- Work alongside the Restaurant Manager as required
About You
You have a passion for the hospitality industry and are up to date on techniques and food trends. You demonstrate a commitment to flavour and presentation of the highest quality, while aligning and motivating a cohesive and hardworking team. Ideally you will have strong expertise across an eclectic and varied meal offer.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess excellent relevant post-secondary qualifications to at least a hospitality-related Certificate IV/Diploma level
- Have at least 2 to 3 years professional experience since earning your qualifications
- Available across the working week including late shifts as may be necessary
- Proven ability to prioritise, set goals and achieve them
- Thorough understanding of food safety OH&S; and HACCP
- Understand cost control, time management, prioritisation, and cost-efficient procurement practices
- Substantial experience in a similar role
- Excellent people management skills
- Well versed in a broad cuisine across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and beyond
- Unrestricted rights to work full-time in Australia
