**Talent International** is currently recruiting for a **Disaster Case Worker / Welfare Case Worker **to work for a** NSW Government **based in **Sydney, NSW. **The position is a **6-month contract role with the possibility of being extended **and are paying between **$40.72-$44.59/hr **+ Super**.
7 Hours per day / 35 per week job
Location: 4 Murray Rose Ave, Sydney Olympic Park 2127
**Responsibilities**:
- Deliver person centred case management that is based on a collaborative process with clients impacted by disaster.
- Ensure simplified access to Disaster Relief Grant services for clients impacted by disaster through a centred approach with service providers and other human service agencies.
- Provide coordinated and accountable service delivery which addresses early intervention and intensive support to clients impacted by disaster.
- Facilitate informal and formal supports and robust links between specialist services and generalist agencies such as education and housing.
- Ensure effective case management monitoring and reporting through maintaining accurate and relevant client records and on time completion of reports and correspondence in line with Department standards and guidelines.
- Participate by contributing to collaborative working relationships, team initiatives and professional development.
- Develop networks across specialist disability and mainstream service providers to build seamless service provision and effective stakeholder relationship.
**Essential requirements**
- Current driver's licence
- An ability to work on disaster welfare operations includes an expectation for deployment within 24 to 48 hours' notice, state-wide. This work could be in remote or rural communities and may involve long and irregular hours including driving, getting in and out of cars and walking to conduct outreach and home visits. It is an expectation that all staff will monitor their own levels of health and capability to be fit for task prior to deployment.
