Gippsland Lakes Complete Health (GLCH) is seeking a General Practitioner to join the Doctors in Secondary Schools (DiSS) Program, delivering accessible, youth-friendly primary health care directly within a secondary school setting.
This is a unique opportunity to support the health and wellbeing of young people, work closely with school wellbeing staff, and be part of a highly supportive, multidisciplinary team making a lasting difference in students' lives.
About the program
The Doctors in Secondary Schools Program is a Victorian Government initiative providing free, confidential and accessible GP care to secondary students during school terms.
Based at Bairnsdale Secondary College, the GP works alongside a Practice Nurse and School Program Lead, collaborating with school staff to support students':
* Physical health
* Mental health and wellbeing
* Sexual and reproductive health
* Early intervention and preventative care
Beyond clinical care, this role contributes to the broader wellbeing culture of the school, supporting health promotion and student engagement.

About you
You will be:
* Vocationally Registered with RACGP or ACRRM
* Passionate about youth health, wellbeing and early intervention
* Comfortable working in a school-based environment
* Collaborative, approachable and student-focused
* Committed to inclusive, culturally safe and evidence-based care
