Location: Braeside, VIC
Shifts: 6am - 2pm / 7am - 3pm / 8am - 4pm (depending on European daylight savings)

Our client are a provider of Mechanical and Electrical maintenance services to automation equipment installed in medium and large warehouses and distribution centres. The great thing about this role, you DON'T need previous automation experience, just a solid understanding of PLC's and, a positive, can do attitude, with strong intrapersonal skills.
About the Role
In this role, you will form part of an existing Technical Support / Service Desk team, working in our customers head office, responsible for providing remote support to onsite technicians and customers, when it comes to troubleshooting their onsite automated logistics equipment, specifically the PLC element of the system.
The role is an office based role and will see you working with a range of customers in Australia and, other international English speaking countries. It will require you to communicate effectively over the phone during breakdown situations to support the customer with troubleshooting and, detailed fault finding to understand the root cause of the problem.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle support requests from Service Desk and forward support requests to the appropriate department if the root cause lies elsewhere.
* Restore service by resolving the root cause or applying a workaround
* Create tickets / incident reports in relevant support systems and log information concisely and accurately.
* Escalate to the development department if 2nd level support cannot resolve the issue
* Continuously monitor open support requests and initiate countermeasures for delays
* Proactively request customer information as part of the service agreement
* Make configuration and software adjustments as part of Problem Management
Skills and Experience Required
* Either an Electrical trade or Electrical Engineering background.
* Excellent knowledge of PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc..
* Strong general IT skills / Office 365 understanding.
* Excellent English skills (German is desirable)
* A basic understanding of warehouse logistics processes / how a warehouse / goods in & out environment operates.
* Strong written attention to detail.
* Proactive communicator with the ability to stay patient.
* Resilience in high stress scenarios.
* Ability to pass a medium functional assessment and, drug & alcohol screen
