The role of Bioinformatics Analyst supports research endeavours in medical science through research, development, training, and analysis using bioinformatics tools across a range of areas relevant to modern medical genomics at the population and single cell level. The key responsibilities include:
* Assisting in the development of bioinformatics tools for performing data analysis on genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data using various bioinformatics tools and techniques.
* Providing training and support in the use of bioinformatics software tools.
* Developing effective analysis pipelines for analysing large genomic datasets.
* Maintaining a current knowledge of computational and information technologies required in medical scientific bioinformatics.
* Ensuring bioinformatic analysis performed is compliant with accreditation requirements and best practice.
