About the Role
We are seeking a practical, solutions-driven
Operations Manager – Warehousing & Solutions
to join our growing team. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of challenges, and naturally looks for better, smarter ways to get things done.
You will manage the day-to-day operations of our warehouse while also learning and supporting print and technology solutions for schools, businesses, and community organisations. You will also be responsible for supervising and supporting a small team of staff, ensuring safe, efficient, and productive workplace practices.
This role is ideal for someone who can spot issues early, lead calmly, and keep operations running smoothly—whether that's resolving stock discrepancies, improving workflows, managing staff, or troubleshooting equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Operations Management
Oversee daily warehouse and stockroom operations
Supervise and support a small team of warehouse and support staff
Identify and resolve stock, workflow, and packing inefficiencies
Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock replenishment
Ensure accurate picking, packing, dispatch and delivery processes
Manage returns and investigate stock or delivery issues
Maintain accurate records through Jim2 ERP and Microsoft Excel
Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS) standards
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work environment
Safely operate a forklift
Print & Technology Solutions
Learn the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of printers and related equipment
Assist with equipment installation, configuration, and client handovers
Diagnose common technical issues and deliver practical solutions
Adapt to different onsite environments and customer needs
Communicate technical information clearly and confidently
Recommend suitable solutions based on client requirements
Travel within Tasmania to support installations and service work as required
Customer Service & Problem Resolution
Build strong, solution-focused relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
Handle enquiries with professionalism, clarity, and patience
Investigate issues and provide timely, practical outcomes
Communicate effectively via Outlook, phone, and face-to-face interactions
Represent the business professionally when onsite with clients
Skills & Experience
Essential
Proven management experience supervising small teams
Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to think ahead and act decisively
Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or operational roles
Comfortable using technology and learning new systems
High level of organisation and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Experience using ERP systems (Jim2 preferred – training provided)
Current driver's licence (essential)
Current forklift licence (preferred or willingness to obtain)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to use basic tools (such as drills) and carry out simple assembly tasks, including flat-pack assembly and cable management
Desirable
Customer-facing experience in sales or service roles
Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration or willingness to obtain

Hours
8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
(1 hour lunch break)
Job Summary
The successful candidate will manage warehouse operations including picking, packing, deliveries, stock control, stocktakes, and returns, while supervising a small team of staff. Proven management experience is essential. A current forklift licence is preferred (or willingness to obtain). The role also requires practical hands-on skills such as using a drill, assembling flat-pack furniture, and completing cable management.
