This is a great opportunity for a part time Gardener to carry out established horticultural work practices and procedures on mecwa
- care_ residential aged care facilities. Reporting to the Manager Building Services, the Gardener is responsible for maintaining the gardens and ensuring they are well presented at all times providing a pleasant and inviting environment for our residents. This role is a three-year contract, with opportunity for extension.
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- Minimum 1 - 2 yrs. experience in garden maintenance services.
- Demonstrated experience in lawn care, perennials, shrubs, trees, pruning and hedging.
- Management of soil health, weeds, pests and diseases.
- Soft landscaping - garden bed preparation, plant set out and planting.
- Safe use of hand and power tools.
- Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Hard working, reliable, punctual.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills, including report writing.
- Australia's driver's license.
**Desirable**:
- Commercial sector experience.
