About the Program

Our two-year Graduate Program is developed to set you up for long term success through:

* A permanent fulltime role from day one, giving you stability and room to grow.
* Three 8-month rotations within your business unit to build breadth, confidence and capability.
* Real ownership and impactful work, contributing to projects that shape customer and business outcomes.
* Access to leaders, mentors and a strong graduate community who will guide, support and champion you.

Eligibility

To be considered, you must:

* Be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident.
* Have completed an Advanced Diploma, Bachelor's degree (or higher) or TAFE Certificate level qualification in 2024, 2025 or expect to complete your final subject by December 2026, inclusive of any internships or work experience placements required for graduation.
* Be able to commence fulltime in February 2027.
* Available to work primarily from our Macquarie Park campus in Sydney.

About the Networks Graduate Program

The Networks team at Optus is responsible for building, operating and safeguarding the mobile and fixed network that keeps customers connected across Australia. This includes managing our 24/7 Network Operations Centre, ensuring reliability, resolving complex incidents, and maintaining resilience across major events, emergencies and critical infrastructure.

As a Networks Graduate, you'll work at the heart of Australia's connectivity by gaining hands-on experience across engineering, network operations and automation, and contributing to the systems that millions rely on every day.

Where You May Gain Experience

* Engineering: Mobile and fixed core network design and engineering.
* Automation: Software, automation development and network service automation.
* Networks: Mobile network development, performance and engineering.

What You May Work On

* Mobile network deployment, including engineering services and site build.
* Deployment and infrastructure activities across mobile and fixed networks.
* Capacity and demand management to optimise network performance.
* Testing, integration and assurance methodologies to support network reliability.

Qualifications That May Be a Good Fit

* Bachelor's of Engineering, (Software/Electrical/Mechanical)
* Bachelor of Network Engineering (Networking/ICT)
* Bachelor of Computer Science
* Bachelor of Telecommunications Engineering
* Information Technology
