We are seeking an enthusiastic Cytologist to join the Cytology Department on a full‐time basis at our Macquarie Park Laboratory.
About the role
In this role, you will:
* Screen and report non‐gynaecological samples, including fine needle aspiration biopsy specimens, with opportunities to attend FNA procedures for ROSE where required
* Screen and report cervical screening test samples
* Participate in Quality Assurance Programs (QAP)
* Work collaboratively with pathologists and other healthcare professionals as part of a supportive team environment
The successful candidate will have experience in gynaecological and/or non-gynaecological cytology.
Qualifications
* Someone who holds a recognised Science degree, along with Australian Society of Cytology (ASC) certification
* Is highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
* Has excellent communication and analytical skills
* Enjoys working independently as well as part of a team
* An understanding of quality assurance procedures
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
* A patient, reliable and flexible approach to work
* A motivated, highly organised individual with great attention to detail.
