The Royal Flying Doctor Service will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2028. To lead this historic milestone, we are seeking an experienced and strategic senior leader to coordinate, deliver, and elevate the national Centenary Program. As part of a small team, reporting to the Director Corporate Affairs, the National RFDS Centenary Lead is responsible for the end-to-end planning, governance, and national execution of a major program of events, partnerships, communications and engagements that will define how Australia recognises this significant moment in our history.

About the Role
In this senior leadership position, you will:
* Develop and oversee the national Centenary Strategy and Master Plan
* Lead a year‐long calendar of national events, engagements and signature activities
* Establish governance, reporting, risk and budget frameworks for the program
* Drive national alignment across media, communications, brand and digital
* Manage high‐level government, protocol and ministerial engagement
* Secure and deliver major national corporate partnerships
* Collaborate closely with RFDS Sections to ensure a unified national approach
* Develop legacy materials, evaluations and long‐term outcomes for the organisation
About You
You are a confident and strategic operator with experience leading large, complex, multi‐stakeholder programs. You will bring:
* Demonstrated experience delivering national-scale programs or major public events
* Expertise in communications and brand management, demonstrated experience with high profile public facing brands
* Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, including C‐suite and Ministerial relationships
* Experience managing national partnerships or sponsorship arrangements
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strengths in governance, risk management, reporting and program oversight
* The ability to balance high‐level strategy with hands‐on implementation
* Calmness under pressure, sound judgement and excellent organisational skills
* Experience in the not‐for‐profit sector, health, or national institutions is highly regarded.
