About the Role
As our IT Support Technician, you will be the first point of contact for technical assistance across the organisation. You'll support hardware, software, networks, Microsoft 365 applications, and assist with system administration tasks. This role ensures our employees can work efficiently every day and that our technology remains secure, reliable, and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide timely support for hardware, software, application, and network requests
• Manage helpdesk tickets and communicate clearly with staff
• Troubleshoot issues with computers, printers, mobiles, and peripherals
• Support Microsoft 365 tools including Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive
• Assist with account setup, access permissions, onboarding and offboarding
• Maintain the IT asset register and coordinate equipment repairs or replacements
• Ensure devices meet security standards and support cybersecurity initiatives
• Participate in system improvements, upgrades, and technology rollout projects
• Document procedures and create user‑friendly troubleshooting materials
What You'll Bring
Essential:
• Experience in an IT Support / Service Desk role
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365
• Basic understanding of networking (Wi‑Fi, VPN, routers, switches)
• Exposure to Linux environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a customer‑first mindset
• Excellent communication and time‑management abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple time zones
• Ownership mindset – you follow issues through to resolution
• Willingness to work approximately 25 hours per week with flexible daily scheduling
Desirable:
• IT qualifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals)
• Experience with Linux server administration
• Experience with mobile device management (MDM)
• Understanding of cybersecurity tools or practices
• Familiarity with helpdesk/ticketing systems
