We are seeking
We are seeking a talented Assistant Project Manager to join our Tasmanian team. This can be a full time or part time position. The full-time equivalent salary for this role is between $70-90K based on experience.
Overview of the role
The Assistant Project Manager will be engaged in a variety of entry level project management tasks working closely with experienced project managers to deliver the multipurpose stadium in Hobart. The role will also support Capital Insight's broad range of civic, health, housing, education and other social infrastructure projects in Tasmania.
You must have a qualification in a relevant discipline such as PM/CM, Engineering or Architecture (or be in your later years of study).
You will develop in the role, implementing what you have learnt (or are learning) through on the job training.
Please note that you must have the ability to work in Australia without restriction.
Key activities you will undertake as an Assistant Project Manager:
* liaise with your manager to understand the needs of the engagement;
* assist with the management of day-to-day operational aspects of a project, including scheduling meetings, reviewing the program, managing cost, budget and scope;
* work collaboratively with fellow team members for the efficient delivery of Capital Insight documentation/deliverables (such as minutes, agenda, monthly reports);
* assess and manage commitments, expenditures and payments;
* ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately;
* review design and contract documentation;
* proactively manage all consultant engagements to manage the client's risks;
* coordinate and manage consultants and contractors;
* manage and liaise with Authorities regarding all necessary approvals;
* implement quality and safety standards and procedures and
* minimise Capital Insight's exposure to risk on the project.
