We're looking for a Tax Manager to join our Melbourne Tax Services team. This role offers exposure to a diverse client base and a broad range of tax matters, including domestic and cross‐border advisory and compliance. You'll work closely with Partners and other service lines to deliver high‐quality outcomes, while also leading and developing a growing team. This role would suit an experienced Tax professional who enjoys combining strong technical expertise with people leadership and client relationships, and who is looking for a clear pathway to future career progression.
Your Responsibilities
* Deliver high‐quality tax advisory and compliance services across corporate and international tax matters, including complex transactions and CbC reporting
* Provide technically sound, commercial advice to clients operating across a range of industries and jurisdictions
* Assist with complex technical issues and ATO matters, working closely with Partners
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
* Manage and mentor team members, including delegation, coaching, performance management and development
* Contribute to the strategic planning and growth of the Tax Services division
* Identify business development opportunities and support cross‐division collaboration
* Ensure work is delivered on time, within budget, and in line with quality standards
What We're Looking For
* A relevant university qualification with 5+ years' experience in business tax (Manager level)
* Postgraduate qualifications such as CA, CTA and/or a Masters of Tax
* Proven experience in a tax advisory or professional services environment
* Strong technical capability across corporate and/or international tax
* Demonstrated experience managing client engagements and leading teams
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A collaborative, relationship‐driven approach aligned to our CARE values
* Strong attention to detail, commercial acumen, and the ability to juggle competing priorities
