Job Description
We have exciting opportunities for Disability Support Workers to provide in-home support for clients/NDIS participants living with complex mental and other health issues. We seek individuals who are enthusiastic, caring, compassionate, respectful, and capable of completing personal care and domestic duties.
The role is initially casual, with potential for permanent part-time employment based on performance.
Qualifications
* Individual Support (Disability) Certificate III or higher
* Experience working with people with disabilities, especially with mental health needs
* Skills in medication assistance and/or administration (HLTHPS006)
* Understanding of incident reporting, documentation, complaints handling, and complex behaviour support
* Positive attitude
* Own vehicle with comprehensive insurance, willing to use for work
* Current CPR & First Aid Certificate
* Current Open Drivers Licence
* Current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Card
* Assist Client with Medication Certificate HLTHPS 006 (highly recommended)
* Experience with Dementia, Positive Behaviour Support, and Epilepsy is advantageous

Tasks & Responsibilities
* Support male and female NDIS participants with various mental disabilities
* Assist and mentor participants to increase independence
* Encourage engagement in community activities
* Model and promote appropriate social behaviours
