Staff Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine - Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital

The Rehabilitation Unit at Tamworth Hospital is a 22‑bed inpatient unit providing comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation services to the northern sector of HNELHD. Vital services include:
* Transitional Living Unit for Brain Injury
* New England Brain Injury Rehabilitation service (neuropsychology, physiotherapy, dietitian, speech pathologist, occupational therapist, social work, paediatric case manager, Aboriginal liaison officer)
* New England Spinal Cord Injury Service (Coordinator: Caroline Cone)
* The amputee clinic (attended by ForMotion Prosthetics and Orthotics)
* Outpatient clinics and outreach clinics for regional towns of Moree and Narrabri
Our team comprises two rehab physicians, a registrar (accredited for advanced training with AFRM(RACP)), a junior medical officer, an expert registered nursing team, and an MDT team including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social work, speech pathology, and dietetics. We support teaching of medical students and work closely with the primary care community.
What We're Looking For
Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine and specialist registration with AHPRA.
