**About the Role**
- We're looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join our Sydney Roads and Asset Performance contract. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding, and upgrading streetlighting infrastructure (predominately) and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS).
- Permanent full-time position - primarily day shifts
- Flexibility required - occasional night shifts, on-call duties, and weekend work (shared via rotating roster)
**Location**: Based in Newcastle, with travel across surrounding coastal, Hunter, and regional areas.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain and service traffic signals and ITS equipment
- Ensure compliance with statutory and contract requirements
- Follow OH&S protocols in line with Ventia policies
- Participate in on-call and relief service rotations
- Undertake training to enhance contract-relevant capabilities
- Assist with emergency response coordination
- Contribute to the review and improvement of operational procedures
- Support the Asset Manager and ITS Asset Engineer with asset planning
- Perform other duties as directed by the ITS Supervisor
**About You**
- Qualified Electrician with a current electrical licence (essential)
- Experience with ITS and/or traffic signals (highly regarded)
- Valid driver's licence and Construction White Card (essential)
- Willingness to provide after-hours support when required
