Reporting to the Chairperson, the General Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategic development, and day-to-day operations of the Club. Key responsibilities include: · Managing racing operations, events and facilities · Driving commercial growth, sponsorships and community partnerships · Overseeing financial management, compliance and reporting · Leading and developing a small, dedicated team · Enhancing member, patron and stakeholder engagement This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a dynamic individual with strong business acumen and a genuine passion for the racing industry. About You We’re looking for a confident and capable leader who brings: Proven management experience (sporting clubs, events, or similar) Strong financial, marketing, and operational skills Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels Knowledge of, or enthusiasm for, thoroughbred racing Flexibility to work race days and weekends as required Experience in regional or not-for-profit organisations will be highly regarded.
