Our client is a Melbourne, Victorian based dental laboratory servicing the Australian dental industry. They specialise in the fabrication of quality restorations for dental prosthetics, specialising in implant, ceramic and crown and bridge procedures They currently have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Inventory Controller to work out of their State-of-the-art facility in Abbotsford. Working with their newly implemented Inventory system your responsibilities will be but not limited to: ERP and materials movement: Raising of purchase orders for material and service purchases Inspection and receipting of goods to the warehouse Ensuring that all materials are properly booked into production Coordinate stock movements across different entities within the group Material Resource Planning System Adequate minimum / maximum quantities are maintained for ensure continuity of production Ongoing maintenance of supplier master data including codes, prices and lead times Stock and Inventory Management Ensure adequate and ongoing supply of stock by liaising with suppliers, and finance team Manage purchasing (inventory and non-inventory) within required timeframes Identify slow moving and obsolete stock and develop plans to address potential costs Develop and maintain accurate bill of materials and purchasing plans for all products including contingency plans to deal with supplier risk Supplier Relationship Program Conducting annual supplier performance evaluation process and communicating results to the suppliers. Creating and maintaining approved supplier list Running non-compliance supplier reports, raise with supplier and implement corrective action plan. Reporting & Auditing Manage and administer monthly rolling stock takes. Preparing and presenting performance data of suppliers on a scheduled basis. Prepare regular reports on inventory movement, stock levels, stock delays, and other issues. Provide leadership with respect to stock / supplier management portion of ISO audit. Liaise with external financial auditors as required. To be considered for this role you will have the following skills: Experience with ERP / Accounting systems Experience or awareness of warehousing and purchasing principles Professional Communication skills – verbal and written Results focused and able to work under pressure to meet specific deadlines. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Adheres to company guidelines and procedures. Advanced Microsoft Office skills and sound knowledge of inventory and stock management systems. Hours of work will be 9:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday
