We are proud to be driving a program that delivers positive environmental, social and economic impacts and we're continuing to invest in innovative solutions that ensure all can access the benefits Containers for Change brings.Description:The Role: Due to retirement of one of our long term employees, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead our Contracts & Procurement function and play a critical role in supporting our industry engagement with beverage manufacturers. This is a multi-faceted position ideal for a commercial leader who excels at building strong partnerships across functions and thrives on improving processes, mitigating risk, driving cost optimisation and delivering outstanding procurement outcomes. You'll manage contract compliance and the procurement lifecycle across the organisation, while leading a small team and overseeing our obligations with beverage manufacturers and exporters. Lead a small team, driving high performance and continuous improvement.Own and manage COEX's CMS, ensuring data accuracy, user support and continuous improvement.Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organisational objectives.Negotiate, monitor and manage contracts with suppliers and vendors.Ensure contract compliance including insurances, statutory declarations and other obligations.Upskill contract owners and support compliance across the organisation.Lead or participate in procurement panels and act as a probity advisor when required.Lead contract administration and compliance processes with beverage manufacturers.Manage annual Beverage Manufacturers reporting and declaration processes.Guide new Beverage Manufacturers and exporters through due diligence and onboarding.Prepare insightful procurement and commercial reports.Identify, communicate and manage commercial risks in collaboration with legal and risk functions.Who You Are: Our values - Be proactive, Value others, Work together, Contribute positively and Be transparent are at the heart of our exceptional culture, so we're looking for team members who not only share them, but eager to be part of a team that brings them to life. You have proven success in these areas:Experience in commercial, procurement or contract management roles.Strong team leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing high performing teams.Deep understanding of contract law and procurement.Demonstrated success in cost optimisation and driving operational improvements.Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills with experience collaborating cross functions.Experience managing contract systems and leveraging technology to improve processes.Exceptional professionalism, strategic thinking and integrity.Familiarity with category management and procurement strategy development is desirable.Tertiary qualifications in Business, Legal or a related discipline (preferred)Blue card holder or ability to obtain one once appointed.How to Apply: If you're ready to join a team that's making a real difference, we want to hear from you.
