We’re looking for a Program Leader to join BASScare and oversee our community centres in Canterbury, Ashburton, and Balwyn North. About the Role In this dynamic leadership role, you’ll be responsible for designing, coordinating, and managing high-quality social support programs across BASScare’s community centres. You’ll lead a team of staff and volunteers, ensure programs align with client needs and foster welcoming, connected environments for older adults. Our programs are diverse and designed to bring joy, connection, and purpose, including: Group exercise classes that support mobility, strength, and overall wellbeing Special events and community lunches that celebrate connection and friendship Outings to local attractions, events, and places of interest Cultural groups that embrace diversity and inclusion Learning programs and creative activities such as arts, crafts, and lifelong learning workshops Your key responsibilities will include: Leading and overseeing the delivery of these vibrant programs across three centres Managing and supporting a dedicated team of program supervisors, program assistants, and volunteers Ensuring services meet client expectations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements Building and maintaining strong partnerships with community groups, stakeholders, and internal teams Management of reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives About You You’re a strong leader who brings out the best in people You’re highly organised with excellent communication skills You thrive in a client-focused environment and enjoy building inclusive programs You’re proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working across multiple sites Essential Qualification in Aged Care, Community Services, or related field Proven experience in leading and developing community service teams Strong knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, CHSP and NDIS requirements Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship management skills Current Police Check and Driver’s Licence Desirable Experience in facility management and fleet operations Previous leadership experience in aged or community care Why Work With BASScare?
