**Job Summary:**
This role is for a skilled professional to service and thoroughly clean hotel rooms in accordance with established standards, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and providing guests with the best possible service in a clean healthy environment.
* The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a strong attention to detail.
* They will also have the ability to follow procedures and protocols, work safely, and maintain confidentiality where necessary.
Key Accountabilities:
* Anticipate and attend to guest needs and desires immediately.
* Service and clean allocated rooms to the highest standards within the allocated time.
* Replenish and control guest supplies.
* Report to the supervisor any maintenance needing attention.
* Follow all housekeeping policies and procedures to the standard set by the executive housekeeper.
* Take extreme care with personal grooming in order to maintain a consistently high level of professional appearance.
* Inform the housekeeping office immediately of any unusual, different or abnormal situations seen in or around the hotel.
* Report any potential health and safety hazards to the supervisor.
* Greets hotel guests in a polite and courteous manner being careful not to confuse friendliness with familiarity.
* Attend monthly departmental communication, training and information meetings.
* Comply with all of the hotel's standard operational policies and procedures as outlined in the team handbook.
* Have a full knowledge of, and practices all of the hotel's established workplace health and safety guidelines (WH&S).
* Give assistance to other departments or outlets when required.
* Carry out other duties as directed by the executive housekeeper/housekeeping supervisors.
