Summary:
The Property Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing various properties, ensuring efficient operation and maintenance, and tenant satisfaction. They are responsible for rent collection, tenant relations, property maintenance, marketing, financial management, legal compliance, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
* Manage rent collection process, monitor payments, and enforce lease agreements.
* Handle tenant complaints, repair requests, and other concerns including emergencies.
* Supervise property maintenance and repairs, coordinate with vendors, and perform regular inspections.
* Advertise and market properties to potential tenants, and manage listings on online marketplaces and other advertising platforms.
* Prepare budgets, collect financial statements, and maintain accurate financial reports.
* Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws, including fair housing laws and building code regulations.
* Provide regular reports to clients or owners on property performance, financials, and tenant statistics.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in business administration, real estate, or related field.
* 2-4 years of experience in property management or a related field.
* Certification in Property Management is an added advantage.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work independently and make decisions.
* Knowledge of real estate laws and regulations.
* Strong financial management skills.
* Familiarity with property management software.
