About The Role
Are you looking for a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to support the Australian Defence Force's critical communications infrastructure? Babcock is seeking a skilled and experienced communications operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate the Defence High Frequency Communications System (DHFCS) and support the upgraded EDHFCS.
About You
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing Operations Support, monitoring voice and data circuits over HF and satellite, operating cryptographic equipment, and maintaining a 12-hour shift. You will also operate DHFCS and EDHFCS systems, investigate system failures, ensure SOP compliance, and complete administrative duties. Collaboration and stakeholder engagement are essential. Qualifications in leadership, management, or communications are highly regarded.
Requirements
Minimum one year experience as a Defence Communications Operator or similar.
Experience in a Defence operations environment.
Ability to work rotating shifts.
Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain a Commonwealth Security Clearance.
