Your new role
* Manage and support civil engineering activities for airport and infrastructure projects from definition through execution.
* Develop project scopes, quality management verification processes, and schedule milestone checks to ensure delivery against quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
* Provide technical oversight on airfield pavement design, drainage systems, and associated civil works
* Engage with internal stakeholders and external parties including Isaac Regional Council, contractors, and regulatory bodies
* Manage procurement and commercial aspects of project delivery
* Ensure compliance with project management systems, risk frameworks, and change control processes
* Support night-shift operations when required to meet project milestones
What you'll need to succeed
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (RPEQ preferred)
* Minimum 10+ years' experience in civil project delivery within mining, construction, or airport infrastructure
* Proven expertise in airfield pavement and drainage design and execution
* Strong contract and commercial management skills
* Demonstrated ability to lead on-site teams and deliver projects safely and efficiently
* Experience with project management, risk, and procurement systems (highly regarded)
* Flexibility to work rosters including night shift and weekends when required
