About The Role – Make a Real Difference Every Day
We’re looking for a passionate Child and Family Practitioner to join our team and deliver flexible, outreach-based support to children and families.
In this role, you’ll provide holistic, compassionate support to children and families who need it most. Using a trauma-informed approach, you’ll help families feel heard, safe, and empowered — building strong relationships and guiding them toward a better future.

* Level 5 SCHCADS Award.
* Salary range: $97,378 – $101,788 + Superannuation.
* Full time position until 29 May 2026 (with possible extension).
What You’ll Be Doing
* Provide trauma-informed, one-on-one support to children and families in their homes or communities.
* Help complete psycho-social assessments and create tailored support plans.
* Coordinate services and connect families with the support networks they need.
* Share helpful education and tools with carers to build strong, safe environments for kids.

What You’ll Bring
* A degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field.
* At least 3 years’ experience supporting kids and families impacted by trauma, or 5+ years in a similar role.
* Specialist knowledge in at least one key area like attachment, mental health, child development, or DFV.
* Understanding how trauma impacts child development and how to assess their wellbeing and needs.
Other Things You’ll Need
* A current Working with Children Check (or eligible for professional exemption).
* A valid driver’s licence.
* The legal right to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required).
