About The Role
Join our dynamic perioperative team in Stawell as a Planned Surgery Liaison Nurse. This is a rewarding opportunity to be the key contact for patients on their surgical journey—supporting access, coordination, and continuity of care. You’ll work closely with surgical teams, help streamline theatre bookings, and contribute to service improvement.
Coordinate elective surgery access and patient care
Liaise across teams to support surgical pathways
Manage theatre list planning and communication
Support quality improvement and audit work
Act as primary contact for patients and families
Key Responsibilities
Manage patient flow for elective surgery
Develop treatment plans with staff and patients
Support surgical waitlist and meet KPI targets
Facilitate pre-op and post-op care coordination
Lead or support service improvement activities
Attend multidisciplinary team and audit meetings
Skills & Experience
Registered Nurse with AHPRA
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently and in a team
Skilled in using clinical systems including iPM
Knowledge of elective surgery policy and funding
