Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Management Accountant to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving business environment and is comfortable taking ownership across a wide range of financial functions.
You will work closely with the founders to manage and complete day-to-day financial transactional work, ensure compliance, and deliver meaningful insights to help drive strategic decision-making and business performance.

Responsibilities:
* Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including cashflow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
* Oversee day-to-day financial operations including cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and the general ledger.
* Prepare and analyse weekly and monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
* Lead monthly management reporting – including group consolidation, performance analysis, and executive-level commentary.
* Drive strategic insights – through benchmarking, performance metrics, and value-added analysis to support business planning and decision-making.
* Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and Payroll Tax returns.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and workplace requirements.
* Develop and refine financial systems, processes, and internal controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
* Collaborate with operational teams to ensure timely and accurate financial data and reporting.
* Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors as needed.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
* CPA or CA equivalent certification preferred
* 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
* Experience with financial analysis and reporting, including budgeting and forecasting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work independently, proactively and be able to make the right decision autonomously
* Hands-on experience with Xero, Employment Hero, and Cin7 is highly desirable.
* Experience in a high-growth business or SME environment is advantageous
