At 28 Villages, we provide accommodation, catering and village services to remote mining operations across Western Australia. Our kitchens are the heart of our villages, and we're on the lookout for a talented Pastry Chef to bring creativity, consistency and quality to our dessert and bakery offerings.
The Role
As our Pastry Chef, you'll be responsible for producing a wide range of high-quality desserts and baked goods in a bulk cooking environment. You'll take pride in presentation, flavour and efficiency while working as part of a supportive, close-knit kitchen team.
Your day-to-day will include:
* Preparing crib cakes, hot desserts, slices, mousses and jellies
* Creating an assortment of desserts for daily service
* Baking fresh breads including bread rolls, focaccias and baguettes
* Ensuring all products meet food safety and quality standards
* Working efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
About You
* Qualified Pastry Chef or equivalent experience
* Confident producing desserts and baked goods in a bulk catering environment
* Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
* Organised, reliable and able to work independently
* FIFO or remote site experience is highly regarded (but not essential)
