Are you a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse in Anaesthetics looking for your next position? Looking for a role with flexible rostering options and multiple development opportunities?
Newcastle Private Hospital is seeking experienced Anaesthetic Registered Nursesto join our Perioperative Team on a Full-time basis, with Part-time hours or Casual work to be considered for the right applicant. This role will require availability for on-call participation.
As a Perioperative Registered Nurse – Anaesthetic your responsibilities will include:
· Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation
· Deliver evidence-based nursing care
· Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
· Ensure patient and staff safety
· Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and AINs to deliver patient care (RN only)
· Proactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient
· Document into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology
· Current Registration with AHPRA
· Minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience in an acute perioperative environment as an Anaesthetic RN
· Valid NSW Working with Children check
· Availability for participation in the On-call roster
· Commitment to QualityPatient Care
· Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
· Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Works well independently and within a team
· Basic computer skills

Come and join our expert team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and allied health professionals at Newcastle Private Hospital. We are a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit.
We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.

If successful, your pay will be based on EBA23 - Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF — NSW Nurses' & Midwives' Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024with an hourly rate ranging between$35.46- $49.79 per hour.
