Occupational Therapist (Junior–Mid) | Brisbane & Gold Coast (Hybrid + Community)
Full‐time or Part‐time | $95,000–$115,000 + super | Hybrid: office + WFH + community | Immediate start available
Make a real impact with people who need more than "cookie‐cutter" therapy — with the systems, delegation support and clinical governance to do your best work.
Cross Care Group supports adults with complex disability, medical and behavioural needs to live safely and well at home and in the community. We're growing our Allied Health team and are looking for a Junior–Mid Occupational Therapist to work across Brisbane and the Gold Coast in a flexible hybrid role.
Why join Cross Care Group
* Competitive salary: $95,000–$115,000 + super (based on experience)
* Hybrid work that actually works: office days, WFH admin/report days, and community visits
* Strong clinical governance: clear delegation, escalation pathways, and quality assurance (no "figure it out alone" culture)
* Support to reduce admin overload: templates, workflows, and team support so you can focus on clinical reasoning and outcomes
* Structured onboarding: induction, shadowing, and a supported ramp‐up of caseload
* Professional development: paid supervision, mentoring, and targeted training aligned to your caseload
* Rosters and scheduling support: organised appointments and client allocation to reduce unnecessary travel
* Inclusive, values‐led team: your ideas are welcomed and acted on
The role (Brisbane + Gold Coast)
You'll provide person‐centred OT services across home and community settings (with telehealth where appropriate). You'll work closely with our support teams, behaviour support and coordination functions to deliver measurable outcomes that participants and families can actually feel.
This role suits an OT who wants:
* a high‐quality clinical environment
* a manageable caseload and realistic reporting expectations
* variety across functional assessment, capacity building and practical everyday outcomes
* a team that takes safety, supervision and standards seriously
What you'll do
Depending on your experience and interests, you may:
* complete functional assessments and produce clear, evidence‐based reports and recommendations for NDIS plans
* deliver capacity building interventions (ADLs, routines, cognition, sensory strategies, community participation)
* assess and recommend assistive technology (basic to intermediate; complex AT supported via governance pathways)
* contribute to home and environmental recommendations (risk reduction, safety, independence)
* collaborate with participants, families, support workers and clinicians to embed strategies into real‐life supports
* maintain accurate clinical documentation and outcomes tracking
* escalate clinical risks appropriately and contribute to continuous improvement
Important: You'll only work within your scope, competency and delegation arrangements — with support to grow safely.
What you'll bring
Essential
* Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
* Current AHPRA registration (Occupational Therapy Board of Australia)
* Australian driver licence and reliable vehicle
* Strong communication skills and confidence building rapport with participants and families
* Good admin and tech capability (notes, rostering, report writing)
* Eligibility for NDIS Worker Screening and any relevant state checks (e.g., Blue Card depending on cohort)
Highly regarded
* Experience in community disability/NDIS (or strong placement exposure)
* Confidence with OT report writing (FCA-style reports, recommendations, evidence and justification)
* Interest in complex presentations (behaviours of concern, psychosocial disability, neurological conditions)
How we set you up for success
* Paid onboarding with structured ramp‐up
* Regular clinical supervision and mentoring
* Clear internal workflows and templates for consistent, defendable documentation
* Team support so you're not carrying complex cases alone
* Ongoing development aligned to your goals (e.g., AT, PBS interface, complex presentations)
Salary & conditions
* $95,000–$115,000 + super (commensurate with experience)
* Full‐time or part‐time options available
* Hybrid work arrangement across Brisbane and Gold Coast
* Travel and allowances in line with policy/legislation where applicable
* Salary packaging options where eligible
