Early Childhood Support Practitioner Role
This role involves working as an Early Childhood Support Practitioner and a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and prioritise goals using a routines-based approach with families and children
* Implement a strengths-based and family-centred approach to provide support to families
* Address children's goals across all areas of development, ensuring comprehensive coverage
* Build the capacity of adults supporting the child through targeted support and training
* Coordinate multidisciplinary support for participants
* Promote inclusion and participation of children within their families and communities
* Provide consultative support to Key Workers on specific disciplines or backgrounds
Additional duties involve assessing and observing participants' challenging behaviours, with the goal of increasing skills, improving emotion regulation, and introducing replacement behaviours to reduce restrictive practices.
Training and Development:
Comprehensive training and support are provided by Team Leaders and Managers to ensure effective performance in this role.
