About the role
We are seeking Catering Assistants to join the kitchen team in our client's aged care facility located in Woy Woy, NSW.
Shift Schedule:
Multiple morning and afternoon shifts across Monday to Sunday. (6:30am-2:00pm or 3:00pm-7:30pm)
Weekend and Public Holiday Loadings apply.
The successful applicant must have received at least 2 doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine, and provide a current Federal Police Check certificate, or be willing to apply for one.
Skills and experience
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines.
- Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.
- The ability to support the chefs and the team in a busy kitchen.
- Well-presented and good customer service skills.
- Access to own reliable transport.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing meal service to aged care residents.
- Cleaning of serveries and dining room set up
- Adhering to and completing food safety/quality assurance documents
- Washing dishes in the main kitchen and plating of meals
- Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen
- Function set up and explicit down
- Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in day to day tasks
- Food and beverage service
