Retail & Administration Assistant (Casual)
Hours: Evenings and occasional Saturday morning
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Retail & Administration Assistant to join our dog training business. This role would suit a applicant who has retail experience.
You'll be working closely with the business owner and trainers, so initiative, organisation, and a strong work ethic are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide friendly, professional customer service in-store and via email
* Process retail sales and payments accurately
* Assist clients with class enquiries, bookings, and general information
* Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming retail and admin space
* Restock products and assist with stock control
* Support trainers and the business owner with day-to-day administrative tasks
* Proactively assist during quieter periods (cleaning, organising, preparation tasks)
Experience & Qualifications
* Previous retail experience is essential
* Customer service experience in any setting is highly regarded
* Experience handling dogs or working in a pet-related business is a bonus
* First Aid certificate and driver's licence are desirable but not essential

* Friendly and confident communication skills
* Strong customer service focus
* Comfortable working around dogs of all sizes and temperaments
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Able to follow instructions and also take initiative when needed
* Reliable, punctual, and professional
* Basic computer skills (POS systems, email, booking systems)
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $32.06 – $38.48 per hour
Expected hours: 3.5 – 7 per week
