This role involves delivering person-centered support to clients with intellectual disabilities living together in a shared home.
Main responsibilities include:
* Providing active support aligned with each client's goals and support plans
* Assisting with daily personal care tasks (e.g., toileting, showering, dressing)
* Using safe manual handling techniques in accordance with individual plans
* Facilitating community access and transport using vehicles or public transport
* BUILDING TRUSTED RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS, FAMILIES AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS
* Maintaining accurate documentation, reports and records
* Working collaboratively within a close-knit team
* Responding appropriately to incidents in line with NDIS guidelines
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* A willingness to work flexible shifts, including sleepovers, weekends and public holidays
* A valid NSW Driver's Licence (P2/full) and confidence driving vehicles
* Energetic, compassionate and emotionally resilient qualities
* Experience in disability support (preferred)
* Qualified with Cert III/IV in Disability (desirable)
