Senior Insurance Claims Specialist Position
About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Senior Insurance Claims Specialist to join our team. This is a critical role that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities.
In this position, you will be responsible for managing complex insurance claims, providing high-level technical support, and ensuring exceptional customer service. You will also coach and mentor claims staff, ensure compliance with service standards and legislative obligations, and contribute to process improvements to enhance member service and reduce costs.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Interpreting technical insurance policy issues
* Supporting regulatory compliance
* Identifying opportunities for process improvements
* Liaising with insurers to ensure efficient claims assessment
* Contributing to the Fund's insurance strategy
* Developing strong relationships with key partners
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Over 5 years of experience in superannuation and life claims administration
* A minimum of 3 years in a Senior Claims position
* Detailed understanding of the superannuation industry and associated legislation
* Ability to manage conflicting priorities and adhere to strict deadlines
* Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
* RG146 and AIA qualifications
