**What Type Of Person Will Be Successful**:
You will have experience working on minor scale projects within property/building industry.
Your substantial experience in effective project management, feasibility studies and procurement management will support City of Armadale in their rapid growth and make a positive impact on the community.
Other skills that will support you in this role include:
- Possession of or progress towards relevant Quantity Surveying/Building Surveying qualification (highly desirable).
- Experience in preparing bills of quantities and specifications for building works.
- Experience in the interpretation of State, Local and Federal legislation pertaining to commercial and community facilities including but not limited to the Local Government Act of 1995.
- Exposure to workplace Occupational Safety and Health in Western Australia in a facilities related environment.
- Previous facilities maintenance experience in the private sector or experience at Local Government in a similar role.
- Sound investigation/research techniques.
- Sound ability to write clear and concise technical specifications.
- Ability to interpret plans and drawings.
- Ability to supervise contractors.
- Ability to manage small maintenance projects and keep them on budget and on time.
- Sound knowledge of the Building Code of Australia.
- Sound working knowledge of contractor management.
- Working knowledge of tender preparation and assessment.
- Working knowledge of Australian Standards where applicable for installation and maintenance of services within a commercial environment
- You must possess Certification in Worksite Traffic Management as well as a current Construction Induction Card.
