The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is accountable at an advanced practice level for leading and coordinating Ward 9B to achieve best practice standards for clinical practice, patient centred care within a Healthcare team and is responsible for the provision of effective and efficient human, material and financial resource management.
About The Team
9B, a 24 Bed Inpatient Unit is a newly established model of care dedicated to providing high-quality care for general paediatric patients with an anticipated length of stay greater than 72 hours with varying complexity and chronicity of care requirements. The unit will serve as an important component of General Paediatric Services at Queensland Children's Hospital, offering acute and chronic care for a broad range of conditions while focusing on efficiency, family‐centred care, and empowerment of families to support optimisation of health outcomes for the children.
About The Role
In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values.
You'll fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award - State 2015 - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 7 and the Queensland Health and Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQHHS) commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
