Their Ballarat facility specialises in new builds and custom emergency vehicles, and they are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis.
About The Role
This is a hands-on, trade-level role focused on the electrical fit-out and commissioning of specialised and emergency vehicles. Working from technical drawings, you will take vehicles from harness rough-in through to final programming and sign-off. No two builds are exactly the same, making this a genuinely varied and engaging role for someone who takes pride in their craft.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Completing electrical fit-out from drawings, including harness rough-in, cable termination, programming, and approvals
* Testing and verifying electrical systems on completed vehicles
* Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults across a range of vehicle types
* Installing electrical components on specialised and custom-built vehicles
* Adhering to safe work practices and contributing to a safe team environment
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* A trade qualification in Auto Electrics, OR demonstrated experience as a Trades Assistant with a strong automotive electrical background
* Competence in fault-finding and interpreting circuit diagrams
* The ability to read and work from technical drawings
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
* A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a team
* Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks including lifting, bending, and twisting
* Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
