The Colley Hotel is seeking a talented casual chef to join our vibrant kitchen team.
As a casual chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
This is a hands-on position based in our modern kitchen located in Glenelg, SA ****.
The casual position will be between ***** hours per week.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and cooking a wide variety of high-quality dishes from our diverse menu.
Collaborating with the head chef to create new and innovative menu items.
Ensuring all food preparation and cooking tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
Providing excellent customer service and responding promptly to guest requests.
Mentoring and training junior kitchen staff as required.
Adhering to all food safety and workplace health and safety regulations.
What we're looking for
Formal chef training and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
Able to work in the pans, grill and fryer section.
Strong working knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
Food safety certification and a current police check.
