CATERING ASSISTANT ROLES

Our Team is growing We need more dedicated Catering Assistants in our Kogarah & Randwick sites who are passionate about food and customer service. We have both Full-time and casual available.
About the role
Our catering team takes pride in our work and in our kitchen. Together, we operate safely, effectively and efficiently and we communicate respectfully with our team and with our residents. This role currently has Full-time & casual opportunities available in either our Kogarah or Randwick site.
As a member of our team, you will take pride in the delivery and service of meals across dining areas, and you will work with team members as assist where needed.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
* Assist in the preparation of meals, always ensuring a high standard.
* Set trays and/or tables attractively.
* Plate and deliver meals to residents.
* Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of food storage, preparation, disposal and service areas.
* Maintain crockery and cutlery stock control register.
* Undertake cleaning activities of the kitchen and dining areas.
It is essential that a consistently high standard of food service is provided to our residents, and you will ensure that safety (WHS), hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Ability and willingness to work across all shifts
* Minimum 1 year experience working in a similar role, in an aged care setting
* Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team
* Excellent customer service focus
* Understanding of, and commitment to, WHS requirements
* Working knowledge of Food Hygiene and Safety Guidelines
* Food Safety Handling Certificate
* Have full working rights with no restrictions.
