'Less grease and grime, more tools and tech': state government launches Queensland Manufacturing Month 2025
Queensland Manufacturing Month, an initiative that began in 2023, will again feature events held around the state over September.
Events and programs
According to a statement from the Queensland government on Monday, the program includes regional networking events to connect local manufacturers, Women in Manufacturing breakfasts in Moreton Bay, Cairns, Gladstone, Rockhampton and Mackay, and other events promoting "innovation across the sector".
State manufacturing minister Dale Last said, "Forget the stereotypes because modern manufacturing in Queensland is less grease and grime and more tools and tech."
As part of Queensland Manufacturing Month, businesses across the state will open their doors to students from more than 35 schools to inspire young Queenslanders to explore careers in manufacturing.
Inside Advanced Manufacturing Showcase
The Inside Advanced Manufacturing Showcase, which began in 2019, is also returning.
Running September 1-18, it includes site visits to businesses such as iOrthotics, BlockTexx and Marine Air Flow International, as well as various research and educational facilities.
