Job Opportunity: Registered Practical Nurse
As a Registered Practical Nurse in our long-term care setting, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care. Your duties will include assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, developing personalized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
* Delivering direct patient care involves administering medications, performing routine medical procedures, and providing wound care as needed.
* You will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and address any concerns or issues that arise.
The ideal candidate will possess current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, experience working in a Geriatric Long Term Care home, and demonstrated good judgment, strong leadership, and mentorship skills.
Key qualifications include:
* Current Registration: Required to practice as a Registered Practical Nurse in Ontario.
* Geriatric Experience: Prior experience working in a Geriatric Long Term Care home is an asset.
* Lifespan Development: Understanding of various stages of lifespan development and ability to adapt care accordingly.
* Effective Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
* Physical Abilities: Ability to perform the physical tasks of the position, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
