About the Role
An opportunity exists for a Fitter Machinist to join our team in Kewdale, WA. The facility offers excellent long term employment supplying to a stable industry and for team players who are interested in building a career path. We are a responsible employer with a focus on safety and quality of work and have a large group of long term employees. We encourage multiskilling and will provide crane, fork and first aid training as a first step. Job Tasks and Responsibilities
* Work with a productive and highly successful team
* Machine and Fit components into assemblies to high quality standards
* Multitask within multi machine environment
* Assist engineering team with new designs and appropriate feedbacks
* Fitting tasks involve manual lifting

* Be prompt, reliable and work unsupervised after training

Skills and Experience
* Must have minimum 2 years of Fitter/Machinist experience in Mig Welding
* Hands on experience of manual machines like Saw, Lathe, Milling, Drilling and pneumatic/electrical hand tools essential.
* Welding experience preferred but not essential.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to the instructions.
* Ability to use measuring instruments
* Heavy component fitting and machining experience preferred but not essential
* Experience of operating forklift and overhead crane preferred but not essential. Training will be provided to successful candidate
