Cost Management Professional
We're seeking a highly skilled Cost Management Professional to lead our project control coordination efforts.
In this role, you will be responsible for establishing processes, templates, and tools, and agreeing on cost and schedule baselines while monitoring performance against them.
You will identify trends and root causes of deviations against the baseline using lead and lag indicators, recommending corrective actions to drive best value for our clients.
A key aspect of this role is leading the evaluation of project time, cost, and quality targets, applying governance controls as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
You will work closely with remote teams of cost managers to reach an agreed market-tested cost baseline and ensure clients receive value for money.
Your expertise in conceptual estimating, funding stage gates, basic contingency principles, and procurement principles will be instrumental in controlling costs.
You will create and manage cost reports, summarizing financials in executive-level dashboards, and understand change management principles to lead agreed change management processes and workflows.
Additionally, you will coordinate and lead planning sessions and workshops with clients and vendors to compile master project schedules, agree on baselines, and critical paths.
Your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex information effectively will make you an excellent fit for this role.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience in project controls coordination in all phases of the project lifecycle, including program, risk, and reporting.
* Demonstrated expertise in determining corrective actions or recommendations based on facts and figures, critically evaluating information and data from various sources.
* Advanced skills in MS Office and Primavera P6.
* Able to demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent service, working autonomously, and as part of a team.
* Strong time management skills, quick thinking, and ability to meet project deadlines as necessary.
