Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow ITOM Consultant to lead and support the design, development, and implementation of IT Operations Management solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role focuses on delivering intelligent operations by automating and enhancing visibility into infrastructure, services, and dependencies through modules such as Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement and configure ServiceNow ITOM modules: Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Orchestration, and CMDB.
* Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and align ITOM capabilities with business objectives.
* Configure MID Servers, patterns, probes, sensors, and integrations with various infrastructure components.
* Design and implement health dashboards and event correlation rules.
* Maintain CMDB data integrity, normalization, and reconciliation rules.
* Integrate ServiceNow ITOM with third‐party tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Dynatrace, Zabbix, Splunk).
* Conduct workshops and assessments to define ITOM roadmaps and strategies.
* Support ServiceNow upgrades, patching, and testing of ITOM applications.
* Provide knowledge transfer and mentorship to clients or internal teams.
Security Clearance
* Current Baseline Security Clearance and willingness to upgrade to NV1.
* Australian Citizens with ability to obtain a clearance considered.
Requirements
* 3+ years of hands‐on experience implementing ServiceNow ITOM modules.
* Strong expertise in Discovery (both horizontal and top‐down), Service Mapping, and Event Management.
* Solid understanding of network, infrastructure, cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), and hybrid environments.
* Experience with MID Server configuration and troubleshooting.
* Proficiency in JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting APIs, and Flow Designer.
* ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required.
* ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – ITOM (CIS‐ITOM) is highly preferred.
* Experience with data modeling and maintaining CMDB health.
* Strong analytical, communication, and client‐facing skills.
