The Safe and Respectful Communities Team (SARC) is responsible for leading the University's work to prevent student related sexual assault and harassment from occurring on our campuses, and for providing coordinated responses and support if it does happen.
About The Positions
The Safe and Respectful Communities Coordinators will deliver the SARC program of work and support the creation of a safe and respectful environment for students. These positions will be responsible for the management of student critical incidents and the investigation and associated outcomes of student general misconduct management as required according to policy and procedure.
This role requires an individual with tertiary qualifications and relevant demonstrated experience working with people who have experienced trauma, with a focus on sexual harm and domestic and family violence, including the systems and frameworks associated with such.
Applicants must meet the essential selection criteria for this role and be able to meet the following position requirements:
Hold an unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence, own or have access to a motor vehicle and reside within a 30 minute radius of UOW's Wollongong Campus to be available to work on an "on call" roster to respond to critical incidents and urgent matters outside of hours.Hold a current Working with Children Check.Employment is subject to pre-employment checks including a Psychometric Assessment.How To Apply
