Senior Project Manager
Infrastructure Canberra is seeking a highly motivated and organised Senior Project Manager to lead complex infrastructure projects in the health sector. The role involves managing the entire capital investment lifecycle, from business case development and stakeholder engagement through procurement and contract management, to construction delivery, reporting, and ongoing financial administration and governance of key health projects and programmes.
Professional / Technical Skills and Knowledge
* Extensive knowledge and experience delivering a range of continuous medium-to-high risk and complex infrastructure projects, including procurement, contract management, and project management, with a proven ability to achieve time, cost, and scope outcomes within legislative, policy, and governance frameworks.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to represent the directorate in high-level negotiations and liaise with clients, suppliers, utilities, industry bodies, and other stakeholders.
* Demonstrated experience in project management and risk management concepts, standards, methodologies, and tools in infrastructure projects, and the ability to apply this knowledge to identify solutions and achieve outcomes.

* Proven ability to lead a team and work as a team member under limited supervision, across multiple deadlines with competing priorities, delivering quality outputs and results under pressure.
* Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the ACT Government and Infrastructure Canberra Values framework, workplace respect, equity and diversity framework, workplace health and safety best practice, and industrial democracy principles or the ability to obtain this.
Compliance Requirements / Qualifications – Mandatory
* Hold a relevant professional qualification in Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management, or accreditation with a professional body recognised within Australia.
* Hold a relevant building degree.
* Have significant building or infrastructure knowledge and/or project management experience.
Desirable
* Deep understanding of the built environment and associated infrastructure delivery sector.
* Strong understanding of the operational nature of service requirements in community health, hospitals, community safety, corrective, and emergency sectors.
This is a temporary position available for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
