Property Maintenance Professional
The Property Maintenance/Handy Person is responsible for supporting the Operations team that delivers a flawless guest experience. This includes conducting basic maintenance tasks using hand tools, carrying out regular property inspections/audits across Sydney, and coordinating preventative maintenance plans.
Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance duties including assembling furniture, hanging artwork, and addressing minor ad-hoc jobs
* Hands on experience – solutions focused methodical approach to solving day-to-day maintenance items and those more challenging problems across multiple disciplines such as plumbing, appliance troubleshooting, access hardware, and everything in between
* Conduct regular property inspections/audits across Sydney ensuring our properties are operating and performing at their best
* Coordinate a preventative maintenance schedule including arranging periodic maintenance of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other building or room equipment
* Purchase necessary parts/materials and maintain inventory levels applicable to service associated apartments/rooms
* Oversee onsite contractor(s) ensuring meetings are held, work is monitored, and performance is evaluated, with repairs/works carried out to a high standard to meet safety and service standards
* Manage contractor onboarding and induction processes where applicable across our network of apartments/rooms
* Assist third parties with access requests
* Liaise with building Landlords and Property Managers
* Travel to various buildings/cities as required to complete necessary fixes/repairs or inspections
* Support projects or other specialized work as reasonably directed by management
* Evaluate contractors' skills and certifications to ensure works are completed to a high standard
* Maintain efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates for approval by management
* Prioritize maintenance and repairs of company equipment where necessary
* Arrange and record battery replacements in associated equipment for guest access, Door lock systems, digital lock boxes, or the like
* Maintain dedicated warehouse space/caddy and equipment storage areas to be safe and organized
* Familiarize yourself with relevant safe work practices, WH&S, and report potential risks for review
* Complete stocktake of maintenance inventory on hand (SOH) ensuring adequate inventory within the stock management system
* Perform ad Hoc tasks requested from time to time by management
